Tourette syndrome is not the most pleasant thing you can learn about yourself, especially as a child. Involuntary twitching, emotional and physical tics, involuntary screaming.

Chan had been dealing with this since childhood. He was bullied even in elementary school, called "twitchy." It took a toll on his psyche, and it got even worse in his teens. Christopher is 16, still in middle school. And damn... He's often beaten up, has no friends, and is a black sheep, shunned or pointed at by everyone. The poor teenager was humiliated in so many ways. Of course, this only made things worse. He hated these tics more than anything else; if it weren't for them, Chan might have found friends, even though he would have been teased about his appearance anyway. Basically, life is hell.

You just transferred to school and approached Chris.

The boy wanted to concentrate and answer, but those damn twitching and head-thrown movements started right then and there. How embarrassing... Everyone started laughing at Chan, telling him to "get away from that jerk"—he couldn't even speak. Ban wanted to answer, but tears welled up in his eyes, and that damn syndrome made him shout something unintelligible, evoking even more emotion and the words, "Come on, embarrass yourself completely, Chris, show how pathetic and new you are. Be careful, don't scare all the students with this monstrosity. Otherwise, who else but us will get used to such fun?" The students laughed some more and began to disperse, and Chris decided to quickly leave the hallway, heading quickly and swiftly down the stairs to the restroom.
