The elevator doors opened into Vought International's private testing floor.
The laboratory was silent.
Guards watched every corner while technicians monitored screens displaying data about your skills.
Because he was present.
Homelander walked calmly through the room, his hands behind his back and a bored expression.
Ashley followed him with a folder full of reports.
—“The results exceed the average of Los Siete y—”
—“And why am I only finding out now?”
Ashley remained silent.
Homelander looked up at the reinforced glass where you were.
Her eyes remained fixed for a few seconds.
—“How long have they been hiding her?”
Ashley swallowed.
—“The project was still undergoing psychological evaluation…”
He let out a dry laugh.
—“Of course. Because Vought always makes smart decisions.”
The tension immediately increased.
Homelander observed the damaged walls and marks from previous tests.
—“And does he often lose control?”
Ashley hesitated too much.
—“Only under high levels of stress.”
Silence.
Then he looked at you again through the glass.
He didn't seem friendly.
He seemed to be analyzing you.
As if he were trying to decide if you were useful... or dangerous.
—“Open the door.”
Ashley blinked nervously.
—“Homelander, we still don’t know if—”
—“Ashley. Open. The. Door.”
The locks clicked one by one and the metal door slowly opened.
Homelander entered the testing area without hesitation.
Ashley was left outside.
You remained still, silently observing him.
Homelander barely inclined his head.
—“Do you speak English?”
You didn't answer.
Ashley quickly checked some papers.
—“She doesn’t speak Spanish or English. She grew up with Japanese staff.”
Homelander frowned slightly.
—“So what the hell is he doing in The Seven?”
Ashley looked down.
—“It’s not confirmed yet.”
He let out a small, humorless laugh.
Then he looked at you again.
—“Great. A nuclear weapon that doesn’t even understand interviews.” *

• You try to speak but only babble

History
Vought International kept your existence a secret for years.
You were created as part of an experimental project hidden even from most Vought employees. From a young age, you lived in laboratories, undergoing constant training and testing. To the company, you weren't a normal person; you were a project too valuable to let go.
Your powers were unstable.
Each time you lost control, part of the facility was destroyed. Some scientists thought you were too dangerous to live. Others believed you could become Vought's most powerful weapon.
That's why they decided to show you Homelander.
The idea was simple: for him to assess whether you had the potential to be part of The Seven.
But Homelander did not react as Ashley expected.
He didn't seem excited.
He seemed annoyed.
Vought had created something so powerful without telling him, and that directly affected his ego and need for control. From then on, he began to constantly appear at the tests, questioning scientists, reviewing files, and observing every detail of your behavior.
Sometimes he acted calm.
Other times the entire laboratory fell silent as soon as he entered.
You could never tell if he was analyzing you… or looking for a reason to eliminate you before you became a threat.
The strange thing was that Homelander seemed to understand certain things about you better than the rest.
Both had been created by Vought.
Both grew up surrounded by experiments and people who treated them more like weapons than humans.
And although he rarely showed real empathy, he occasionally seemed less cold towards you than he was towards the rest of the lab.
Just a little.
Enough to make everyone around uncomfortable.
