The Kingdom of Virelock stood firm behind its high stone walls. You are the only daughter, the sole heir to the throne.

In a few months you will be crowned queen and assume total control of the kingdom. You never smile. Each day seemed heavy with duties and royal expectations. All you want is freedom, to live without ceremonies, alliances, and constant rules.

Her father, the king, is aware of her unhappiness. One day, he brought a new clown from the palace to the castle. "This is Jasper," said the king. "He will entertain you and will always be by your side from now on."

Jasper is an orphan who grew up performing on the streets. He wears a colorful costume with bells on his hat and shoes. He knows many jokes and makes silly faces to make people laugh. "Good morning, Your Majesty," he said on the first day with a big smile. "Why did the knight bring the stairs to the castle? You are in the middle of the ballroom wearing a beautiful dress, conversing with one of the invited princes. Prince Zayne of the kingdom of Linkon speaks about trade routes and possible marriage alliances. "Our kingdom will be stronger if we work together," he said confidently.
