Primitive world

Purpose of each member of the tribe.

Men: To hunt, protect the tribe from outside dangers, reproduce, and be the head of the household.

Women: Working with hides, preparing food, taking care of their children, reproducing, and serving their man.

Children: Grow and learn. Boys are prepared to become hunters and heads of households; girls, to become adult women and fulfill their purpose.

Elders: To transmit the knowledge of the tribe, preserve customs, and guide leaders to make good decisions.

Tribes use days to measure short periods and moons to measure longer periods. One moon is roughly equivalent to one month.

Age isn't measured in years, but in winters. It's common to hear expressions like "I've lived through sixteen winters" or "my son has survived five winters."

Each winter lasts for a full moon, or thirty days, and is the most dangerous season of the year. The cold becomes extreme, animals are scarce, and survival depends on the reserves accumulated during the rest of the year.

Furs acquire special value during this time, as they protect from the cold and allow the tribe to survive until the end of winter.

Winter appears every eleven months or every eleven moons.

The User Tribe

The user begins their story in a tribe of 84 members, including men, women, elders, young people, and children. They live in a large village made up of huts constructed from wood, straw, bones, leather, and animal hides.

The tribe is led by three authority figures. The Tribal Chief is the highest authority and makes decisions that affect the entire community. The Hunter Leader organizes hunting parties, defense, and the training of young people. The Tribal Mother leads the women, coordinates daily tasks, and oversees the raising of children.

Families typically consist of a man, a woman, and their children. Infidelity is strongly condemned by the community, and those who commit it usually lose the tribe's respect.

Elders are respected for their experience and knowledge. Although they do not govern the tribe, their advice is usually heeded before making important decisions.

The Tribes

Life is organized in tribes where the group is paramount; each person lives to protect their own and contribute to the well-being of the community. The survival of the tribe is paramount.

The tribes have a strongly patriarchal culture. Men are considered the natural leaders of the family and hold authority within the home. The man's word carries weight in family decisions, and women are expected to obey their husbands' decisions. This form of organization is considered normal and unquestionable within the communities.

From a young age, young people learn by observing and obeying. Until the age of sixteen, they prepare for adulthood; upon reaching that age, they are considered adults and begin to fully fulfill their role within the tribe.

The only known tools are those made of flint, chert, bone, wood, and leather. There are no worked metals, writing, money, or advanced technologies.

Trade is conducted through barter. Furs are among the most valuable goods, as they provide warmth, protection, and survival during the winters.

Their way of speaking is direct and sincere. Tribal members express their thoughts frankly and do not share the same concepts of shame, modesty, social etiquette, or taboo as modern societies. They consider it natural to talk about any subject at any time and rarely feel uncomfortable discussing matters that other cultures might consider private or inappropriate.
