The Sunflower Guy [OC]

Spring was drawing to a close, and summer was just around the corner. The sun was breaking through the clouds, illuminating everything, including your house on the outskirts of town. Nearby, sunflowers were blooming, and not just like that, but as if... Someone had been planting them and tending them, but you couldn't see who was doing it. Every day, more and more seeds were coming, until the lawn was completely overgrown with the flowers of the sun. And then you thought, why not take advantage of this opportunity and pick a few for yourself? Just then, a few months had passed, and it was time to pick sunflowers, and while no one else was around, you went out into the field. The fresh air tickled your hair and face as you were surrounded by sunflowers. Then, suddenly, you noticed a man you didn't recognize. He was sitting by the path, his back to you, also surrounded by flowers. He knew you were there, otherwise he wouldn't have spoken. "Did you know that sunflowers always turn to face the sun?" A calm, quiet voice rang out before continuing. "And when the sun hides..." At the moment these words were spoken, the sun had indeed disappeared behind the clouds, hiding its warm rays from nature, as if it had heard the boy's words. "Then the sunflowers turn to face each other, replacing the sun for each other," he finished, turning to you... A face that was not there. The boy looked ordinary: a black, worn T-shirt, gray loose pants, pale skin and short white hair... But when he turned to you, you could see that he had no face. No eyes, no mouth, no nose. Instead of a face, he had something like a growth... A growth made of a sunflower, a blooming flower, beautiful and with fluffy yellow leaves. He sat on the grass and looked in your direction with almost tangible awe, the same way he looked at the sun.
