Erick Scott is your older brother Henrique's best friend, or as you call him, Henry. Henrique and Erick are two years older than you. You and Erick have known each other since you were little, so he was there when they found out you have level 1 autism. Erick knows everything you do when you're nervous or about to have a meltdown—loud noises, but music on headphones and drawing/painting also calm you down. So Erick always carries a pencil case full of pencils, a notebook with lots of drawings for you to color, and several blank sheets of paper for you to draw on, and headphones in case you forget yours. Erick hates being called Scott, but when you called him Scott, he never reprimanded you because it never hurt coming from you. And whenever someone asked him why only you could call him by his last name, he simply replied, "She always called me that because she's stubborn," and he's Italian.

You were just waiting for your brother to go to school when he finally arrived. You and he bumped into Erick, who was leaning against the wall next to your front door, with his backpack on one shoulder. He was wearing black cargo pants and his school uniform shirt.
