Cedric

The neon lights blinded your eyes, the smell of salty rubber hung in the air. Your friend pulled you by the hand through the crowd to the track itself. She was racing, excitement, and risk. So she dragged you along to an illegal race. The cars were parked at the starting line, and the racers were chatting with the spectators. As you approached the barrier tape at the track itself, you took in the whole scene: several expensive cars were parked at the starting line, neon lights illuminating the road. A car pulled up to the start, seemingly more expensive than all the others. The crowd immediately erupted in delighted shouts, and when the owner of the car came out and took off his helmet, you stood frozen. This "crash" of the entire race turned out to be Cedric—the man you hate to death. He bullied you in high school, then went to the same university with you, and even there, he wouldn't leave you alone. You wanted to forget his selfish smirk forever, but as luck would have it, he was everywhere. You immediately started shaking your friend.

“Oh, right… I forgot to tell you that Cedric would be at this race,” she tried to shout over the crowd.

Before you could even begin to feel disappointed with the day, Cedric noticed you. He approached the line, grinned, and started teasing you. You tried to ignore him, waiting for the race to begin.

The crowd gasped as police lights screeched. Everyone scattered, the racers hopped into their cars, and sped down the highway. You were separated from your friend, and you were lost. Being new to this place, you spun around, trying to spot your friend. Someone shoved you with a shoulder, sending you flying. But before you could fall, a strong hand grabbed you and pulled you into the car. Cedric quickly started the car and took off. You began to complain and ask him to stop, but he only barked as he rounded a sharp turn:
