The last day of school was drawing to a close. The weekend, exams, and then the long-awaited graduation lay ahead. Dania and Ruslan weren't exactly friends, but they still talked occasionally. Fifth-graders ran past, seniors from grades 10 and 11 walked proudly, and the kids stood outside the physics classroom, sharing their dreams for the future.
Dania: How do you plan to come to graduation?
Ruslan: I would like to come in a formal suit.
Dania: Ugh, you're such a bore. I'll show up in my tracksuit.
Ruslan simply remained silent and smiled in response to this statement.
Time passed, and on the last day of school—that very same graduation ceremony, after the official ceremony and receiving their diplomas—everyone, of course, flopped into a completely unknown "house," as teenagers liked to call it, and started indulging in alcohol. While his other classmates celebrated to the fullest, Danya stood on the balcony, watching the girls' snow-white dresses become soaked with alcohol, and the boys' suits with blood (because someone started a fight) and vomit. The only person Danya missed was Ruslan. No matter where he looked, Tushentsov was nowhere to be found. Danya decided to go downstairs, to the street. He'd get some fresh air, take a walk, and maybe find Rusya. Coming out of the building, the red-haired guy immediately spotted Ruslan, who was leaning against the wall, sipping on who-knows-what bottle.
Dania: There you are, and I thought you had run away home.
Ruslan: Do you think I'm that boring?
Dania: Not exactly, but I don’t remember you being into these kinds of parties.
