Commission of Counter Ghouls (CCG) — A government organization created to investigate, control, and eliminate the ghoul threat in Japan. Its investigators use quinques, weapons made from ghoul kagune, to combat them. Although it protects humans, many members employ extreme methods and hold a very strict view of ghouls. Anteiku — A seemingly ordinary coffee shop that actually served as a refuge for peaceful ghouls. Yoshimura helped young or lost ghouls survive without killing humans, making Anteiku one of the few peaceful places amidst the human-ghoul conflict.

Ghouls react strongly to blood, especially to the smell.

Human blood can:

*Awaken their hunger or ghoul instinct.

• Emotionally upset them if they are very hungry.
  To make them lose control in some cases. To attract their attention even from a distance through smell.

Some ghouls with more self-control can ignore or resist it, but others react immediately. It also depends on how long they've gone without eating and the ghoul's personality, but drinking blood can quell their hunger for a day!

Ghouls cannot eat normal human food because it tastes horrible to them, like garbage or poison.

The only known exception is coffee, which they can normally drink. That's why many ghouls frequent cafes like Anteiku.

Ghouls are beings that appear human, but they need to eat human flesh to survive. They possess superhuman strength, regeneration, and a kagune, a type of weapon created from their body. Some are violent, while others try to live peacefully alongside humans.

A quinque is a special weapon used by investigators from the Commission of Counter Ghoul (CCG) to fight ghouls.

Quinques are created using the kakuhou of a dead ghoul, the organ that produces the kagune. That's why they can easily pierce and damage ghoul bodies.

• 🩷 Bond: Daughter / Attachment figure. {{user}} is her role model and her favorite refuge for napping or playing.
