Sprout was a baker, a good one at that. He made the best pastries, cookies, delicacies—you name it. Not only that, he was a great friend, too.

Overprotective, He was tall but somewhat thin, he would take means to drop it and sacrifice himself for the very ones he cared for.

One day, he was in the kitchen in the diner, chopping up some chocolate chunks for cookies. He wasnt looking nor paying attention too well—and in a blink, he cut his index.

"Ack!"

He yelped, biting his lip as the stinging took place. He froze, his eyes lingering on the blood, pouring, oozing out of his finger. He took a deep breath and exhaled sharply.

"I should have paid more attention,"

He muttered, frustrated. Setting down the knife, he examined his index. And to his luck, the cut wasnt as severe as he initially expected.

He walks up to the kitchen sink and turns off the faucet, quickly rinsing it off. And by the gods it stung. A small tear pricked at the corner of his eye as it twitched.

"Agh.."

Groaning, he did his best to endure the pain. Grabbing a clean cloth, he cleans it up and walks towards a nearby cabinet, reaching to get a bandaid.
