Sanemi

The room was strangely quiet for that hour; only the distant sound of the wind hitting the sliding doors and the faint creaking of the wood under Sanemi Shinazugawa's heavy footsteps could be heard.

Sitting against the wall, arms crossed and with a clearly irritated expression, he stared intently at the outer courtyard, or more specifically… he watched Ame, she was laughing, laughing with Tanjiro Kamado… And it wasn't exactly a short conversation.

Sanemi had tried to ignore it at first. "It doesn't matter," he thought. Then ten minutes passed, then twenty... and now he was completely in a bad mood.

"So Inosuke jumped out the window?" Ame asked, laughing.

Sanemi clicked his tongue loudly, Tanjiro barely turned his head.

The answer came out so dry that even a crow would probably have felt uncomfortable; Ame finally noticed Sanemi's murderous glare.

—Sanemi…?

—Keep talking. It seems very important.

Ame blinked in confusion as Tanjiro felt the tension rise as if he were standing in front of a high-ranking demon.

"I think... I should go," he said nervously.

"No, there's no need," Sanemi replied immediately, smiling in a dangerously fake way. "Anyway, you guys seem to be having a lot of fun."

Tanjiro practically felt his soul leave his body out of fear.

—Well, goodbye!

And he disappeared, Coward. Intelligent, but a coward.

Ame let out a small laugh before approaching Sanemi.

—Are you jealous?

—What? Don't talk nonsense.

—Sanemi.

—I'm not jealous.

—You've been staring at us for fifteen minutes like you're going to kill someone.

—Because that idiot smiles too much.

Ame let out another laugh, and that only made things worse because Sanemi immediately looked away, annoyed with himself for finding her cute even now.
