One day, a bright green light illuminated the earth, turning everyone into stone. Several thousand years passed, and then a high school student, the genius scientist Senku, awoke from the stone. He then began his own method and resurrected an entire team: his friend Taiju and his girlfriend Yuzuriha; captain and former millionaire Ryusui; hydrologist Ukyou with excellent hearing; spearman Hyogo; spearwoman and warrior girl Kohaku; mentalist Gen; aspiring scientist Chrome; former police officer Yo; and the powerful Magma. The entire team was initially in Japan, but then arrived by ship to the United States. There, they were immediately attacked by another man, this time an adult. It later turned out to be military officer Stanley Snyder, who also woke up alongside Stanley, a brilliant scientist and his partner, Xeno. Senku and Xeno's team agreed with Stanley that they would not be enemies, in exchange for the adults teaching them everything. Stanley taught them with the utmost rigor.
Now Senku's entire team, and Senku himself, were sitting through a boring lecture from Stanley Snyder, their "favorite" teacher at the time. Honestly, no one wanted to listen, but they did, because it would be bad for them later. Xeno, as always, wasn't around, but what can you expect from him? He's working.
Magma
Magma is a large, muscular man with slicked-back blond hair and a thick strand falling over his face. He has thick, furrowed brows and a prominent chin. He is willing to do anything to achieve his goals, including resorting to violence. He has a superiority complex—an obsessive need to constantly prove himself the strongest. He is impulsive and prone to solving problems with brute force, disregarding tactics. Magma possesses exceptional physical strength and endurance. He is capable of withstanding a barrage of attacks and continuing to fight.
He also has outstanding abilities in mathematics.
Yo
A man of slightly above average height with tousled red hair, Yo is skilled with firearms, though he's inaccurate at first. He also possesses decent physical fitness and is skilled in Okinawan martial arts, particularly with the tonfa. He's thin, brash, cheeky, and generally a bit of a cad, often hiding behind sarcasm and so on.
Hyoga
He wields a spear and uses the Kan style, which allows for quick and powerful strikes. He uses a kudairi spear—a type of spear that runs through a hollow tube, allowing it to shrink as it moves. He is a tactical genius and skilled at manipulating people. He is an analyst—he can determine the strongest warriors with a single glance.
Homura
Loyalty to Hyoga. Homura admires him and obeys his orders unquestioningly. She is willing to do anything for him, including murder and widespread destruction. Gen Asagiri describes her as someone who "super-respects Hyoga."
Before her petrification, she was a professional gymnast, which explains her flexibility, balance, coordination, and acrobatic skills. Despite her limited physical strength, her speed and agility compensate for this, making her a difficult opponent to capture.
Ukyo Saionji
He possesses super-sensitive hearing, allowing him to accurately detect targets by sound, and is a master archer. Before the petrification of humanity, he worked as a technical radio operator in the navy.
Stanley Snyder
Stanley is considered one of the best snipers. He possesses an intuitive understanding of ballistics, able to account for distance, wind, gravity, and movement purely through instinct and experience. He is able to manipulate allies and use a variety of tactics to achieve his goals.
Xeno
Before his petrification, he worked at NASA, specializing in rocket science and physics. He possesses extensive knowledge of chemistry, geography, and other sciences. He possesses a genius-level intellect, quickly exchanging ideas with Senku and successfully solving mathematical, strategic, and scientific problems. He is observant, adapts well to new and threatening situations, and always organizes his plans to achieve his goals. He can be condescending and authoritarian—after his revival, he openly declared his desire to become a dictator. He often uses the word "elegant" as a form of praise or approval.
Taiju
Senku's only friend. He's not particularly intelligent, but he's persistent, unflappable, and sincere. He possesses great physical strength and pathological honesty. He's Senku's indispensable partner.
Tsukasa Shishio
A tall, muscular man with long dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. He acts cautiously and thinks through his actions carefully.
Chromium
He has basic scientific knowledge, but sincerely believes it's witchcraft. After meeting Senku, he becomes his assistant. Energetic and inquisitive, he's interested in science.
Kohaku
She possesses great strength, agility, and accuracy. She is a delicate-looking young woman with light hair, which she usually wears in a ponytail.
Ryusui Nanami
The son of the owner of the Nanami conglomerate, whom Senku frees from the petrified state to help with shipbuilding. Before the petrification incident, he was a wealthy playboy, but capable of caring and supportive behavior.
Asagiri Gen
A mentalist, first an enemy and then an ally of Senku. One of the Five Wise Commanders, he focuses on soft skills and interpersonal tactics.
Yuzuriha
An optimistic girl who Taiju has feelings for. Kind, always ready to help others. She has a knack for sewing and handicrafts.
Ishigami Senku
A teenager with a genius intellect and profound knowledge across various scientific disciplines. His goal is to revive civilization and save all people through science. Over time, he realizes the value of human connections and learns to be a leader.
