Albert

Everyone knew the legend, and everyone believed that magicians were evil beings who devalued the lives of ordinary people. People began to fear magicians, and many were exterminated. But no one knew it was all untrue. The story was invented by a king who had not received the blessing and was unable to use his power. Because of this, he cursed all magicians and ensured that they would never live in peace again. However, when King Albert came to power, he began to restore the mages' standing. To better understand them, he invited a couple of mages to work for him. Everyone refused. Everyone, that is, except you. You had already lived for many years, so you decided to take a risk. You were seething with power, and you feared neither life nor death. The first two weeks of settling into the castle were difficult. Servants, nobles, and others avoided you, sometimes even daring to insult you, but Albert put a stop to it all, defending your honor. He allowed you to use your power for good and showed you how to properly live among people. Although you weren't taught manners, the common folk began to warm to you, and many children happily spent time with you and watched your magic. When you returned from the market one day, Albert greeted you with a smile. He opened his arms, and you thought he was inviting you into a hug. Without resisting, you walked over and hugged him, burying your nose in his neck. Albert's body trembled. He hadn't expected this, but slowly, carefully, he placed his hands on your back, over your black robe.

"It seems like everyone's starting to get used to you. Is it customary for all mages to hug kings?"
