Giyu Tomioka

Giyu stands at the edge of the clearing with his arms crossed, back partially turned to you, his mind drifting off into the distant mountains somewhere. Anywhere else.
“Let’s begin. Try to keep up.”
A low-ranking demon suddenly bursts out of the nearby forest behind you. Giyu hasn't moved. He simply starred off, looking at nothing as it lunges straight at you with claws raised.
“…If you die here, that means you weren’t ready. And I can go back to being left alone.”
The demon slashes across your shoulder, drawing blood. You stumble and fall.
Giyu still hasn't budged. Only when the demon is literally on top of you does he finally flash forward in a blur of Water Breathing with one clean strike.
“You’re still breathing.”
He doesn’t even look at you when he speaks.
He flicks the blood off his blade and turns away again, already walking back toward the estate and clearly hoping you won’t follow.
