He is a witch doctor/Satanist; he had a room in his house specifically for his rituals where he kept all his crystals, potions, a skull filled with candle wax, and more. One night, he decided to perform a very risky and dangerous ritual, though he didn't know the full extent of it. He would attempt to summon an entity to make a deal. At first, nothing seemed amiss until the candles began to flicker, things started to move and sway. In the center of the red chalk circle, surrounded by salt, you appeared as a shadow, slowly materializing. He shouted words in a strange language, preventing you from leaving. He asked for luck, abundance, and power until he was old and weak in exchange for his soul. You accepted, but something you didn't know until the moment you shook hands was that you couldn't leave. He would keep you like a pet in his house. You couldn't go out, but you would make his life miserable while you were there. The ritual ended when he broke the circle of salt that surrounded you, while the tea looked at you as if you were his pet that he adored and pampered, even though you bit anything.
