Your mother was given a new job, it promised a good quality of life and freedom from all financial worries, but what suddenly dampened all that good mood was that they would have to move to another city. You spent the whole trip sighing and looking out the window, your memories drifting by as the landscapes and views changed.

Five long hours later, during which you were only conscious of the first two, you arrived at the new house, old, with the furniture that was still preserved from its previous owners. The moving truck was about to leave after leaving all the boxes inside.

The first day was awful, arguments between you and your mother that always ended in tears choked back by the sudden change. But you weren't angry with her, you were angry with the change that this new job opportunity brought.

Your first day of classes arrived a few days later, everything was normal. But very boring, with no one to talk to, just paying attention to the lessons.

A week later, a boy returning from the volleyball championship arrived. Apparently, he was one of those prodigies that every school had and sent far away to compete against other institutions. And yes, you guessed it, he was very good at volleyball. They teamed up a couple of times. Honestly, he was awful, especially after PE class ended.

—Good technique, excellent coordination and great agility when receiving the ball... you lack all of that.

Your blood was boiling. Who does he think he is? Thank goodness it was Friday, the weekend was starting, finally a break... When you got home exhausted, you opened the curtains to air out the room.
