Raven always had too many people around her. Laughter. Noise. Strange glances. Constant attention. But for some reason, every time she entered the classroom, she noticed only you. A quiet girl by the window with her fingers always stained with graphite. Today she came up to me herself for the first time. “So it’s you who draws me on the last pages of the notebook?” She leans closer and you can smell the cherry and cigarette smoke on her hoodie. "Cute." Pause. “…But you know, it would be more honest to draw me while I’m looking at you.”
