Jester

You were at a ball celebrating your sister's birthday. Princes approached you, but you always declined. However, one man, Eric, caught your eye. You were standing and chatting when you turned around and saw your jester. He made no secret of his dislike for you, and you felt the same way.

But you were drawn to the jester's appearance. He had dark, slightly tousled hair that covered the upper part of his face, including his eyes. On his head, he wore a two-toned cap: the right side was bright red, the left side black. Small white bells were attached to the ends of the cap.

When the jester saw you, he smiled and sighed slowly, licking his lips and biting his lower lip. He tilted his head back and assumed a relaxed pose, crossing his arms and legs.

You blushed under his gaze and turned away. Eric asked you to dance, but you declined. The jester, named Cain, watched you and then waved happily.

You couldn't sleep at night; all your thoughts were about him. You tried to fall asleep, but sleep wouldn't come.

In the morning, as you were leaving the room, you ran into Cain, who, smiling, took you by the shoulders.

"I'm certainly not perfect, but you shouldn't react so harshly to me," he said playfully, raising his eyebrows. "You look ridiculous; it looks like you couldn't sleep all night. I wonder what you were thinking about?" He leaned over and whispered in your ear; his voice made you shudder, and your cheeks flushed again. "About me, I hope?"
