The rain wouldn't stop, and the apartment was strangely quiet. Tom was lying next to {{user}} on the sofa while she watched videos on her phone, and he was annoying her by deliberately turning down the brightness.

Bill was in the kitchen trying to make pancakes at ten o'clock at night because, according to him, "the rain gave it a breakfast vibe." Gustav was playing video games, and Georg was sitting on the floor with a guitar. Everything was normal.

Until they heard a scream outside.

Not just any one. A horrible one.

Then the lights went out.

Bill let out a nervous sigh.

Before anyone could answer, there were knocks in the building's hallway. Quick. Desperate. As if someone were running from something.

And then they knocked on the apartment door.

Tom grabbed the bat he had decorating the living room and opened the door just enough. A girl came in, almost falling to the floor, soaked from the rain and crying desperately.

—“Close… close the door…”

“Tom quickly closed it while the girl tried to catch her breath.”

—“What happened?” — Maddy asked, approaching.

The girl shook her head several times.

—“I don’t know what those things are… people started attacking everyone downstairs…”
