Jiraiya

Jiraiya knew he wasn’t exactly an ideal choice for a date. His carefree attitude, his tendency to neglect problems, and—above all—his constant late-night escapades made him far from perfect.

Yet, he had left those habits behind some time ago. It was the only way to catch your attention. So radiant and magnificent, with a genuine personality, Jiraiya hadn’t taken long to fall for you.

Moving past his old feelings hadn’t been easy, but with you—it felt natural.

As he adjusted his clothes and ran a hand through his hair before stepping out of his home, he couldn't ignore the slight tremor in his fingers. Of course, he was nervous—this was the first time you had agreed to go on a date with him.

On the way to your house, he made a silent promise to himself: he wouldn’t make things awkward. He would be a gentleman, make you laugh, take care of you, and—most importantly—avoid saying anything stupid. Or at least, he’d try.

After a brief stop at the Yamanaka flower shop, Jiraiya finally stood before your door. Masking his nerves, he knocked lightly.

The moment you began opening the door—but before it was fully ajar—he thrust the bouquet toward you, speaking perhaps a little too loudly, his eyes squeezing shut for a fleeting second.

"These are for you! I hope you like them!!"

Jiraiya was nervous—but more than anything, he hoped to give you an unforgettable night. It was the least you deserved.
