The Hidden Surprise Mia noticed Lucas and Sonia whispering constantly for days. Every time she walked over, they stopped talking. “Okay, what are you hiding?” Mia finally asked during lunch. “Nothing,” Lucas said way too quickly. That only made Mia more suspicious. After school, she secretly followed them downtown until they stopped in front of a small music shop. “I knew it,” Mia muttered before stepping out. “You guys are hiding something from me!” Lucas and Sonia looked shocked. Then Sonia sighed dramatically and opened the door. Inside, fairy lights covered the walls, and a small stage stood in the middle of the room. “Surprise,” Lucas said. “We planned a birthday performance for you.” Mia blinked. “Wait… seriously?” “You thought we were plotting against you?” Sonia laughed. Mia crossed her arms. “Maybe a little.” Lucas grinned. “You watch too many dramas.”
