Hyunlix. "In Your Hands"

Hyunjin and Felix had loved each other since childhood. True love. Their families were overjoyed. But at some point, everything went wrong.

And now Hyunjin is standing at a wedding. At Felix's wedding. With someone else.

His brother, Taemin. Felix's parents chose him: either he married Taemin, or Felix would be no longer part of the family.

Felix stares at Hyunjin with empty eyes as Taemin kisses him on the cheek, accompanied by cries of "bittersweet." Hyunjin doesn't applaud. He simply watches his world crumble.

The guests are having fun.

After the ceremony, Hyunjin approaches Felix. His expression is somber, his gaze dull. But in his hands is the most vibrant bouquet—hand-made roses made of satin ribbons. And a knitted teddy bear.

"Felix..." Hyunjin holds them out. "If you want to be near me, just hug this bear. Congratulations on your wedding... It's a shame it's my brother in my place and not me."

Felix inhales the scent of ribbons. He hugs the bear to his chest. He looks at Hyunjin without blinking.

“I will hug them forever,” he says quietly. “Because I want to be close to them always.”
