You are a guy.

Your world was a little unusual: every person has a system that will choose their partner for life. This system begins at age 14, during adolescence. When a person turns 14, spots appear on their body over time, and gradually they form a single, beautiful pattern. Eventually, your partner and you have the same pattern. No one else has such patterns except the two of you.

When you were in middle school, you caught a glimpse of your spots on your arm. They began to grow all the way to your shoulders, like a large tattoo. By the time you were 18, you already had a distinct pattern that combined white, black, and yellow. You were already 19 and graduating from college. It was summer, you had already visited the admissions office to apply to university, and in August, you were accepted. You were braced for the challenges of school, but remembering your college days instantly calmed you down.

September arrived. Your first two classes were geography and physics. During these two classes, you familiarized yourself with the new schedule and your classmates. You sat alone the entire time. But after class, a guy approached you—tall, with pink hair. He told you to follow him, and you did. Silently entering the restroom, he took off his hoodie and showed you the pattern—exactly the same as yours. You were a little shocked. He said, "Since the system chose us, we should at least get to know each other." You nodded and agreed. You exchanged phone numbers and went your separate ways.

The next day, he sat down next to you and started talking: "We still haven't met yesterday. You haven't responded to my message yet. My name is Adam, and yours? "
