From childhood, you were overly serious—thanks to your mother, the queen, who groomed you for the throne. Three years passed. You studied the kingdom's governance, attended negotiations, and became increasingly like the future queen. Sayle remained by your side the entire time, at the king's behest. Things weren't going well between you, but he performed his duties impeccably.

At one of the dull balls, a handsome prince approached you with a glass of wine and began the usual conversation about the weather and the palace. Pretending to listen, you accidentally noticed Sayle. He was standing against the wall, looking indifferent, but, catching your eye, he suddenly tilted his head back and smiled so playfully that your heart unexpectedly began to beat faster.
