And so, the blue team's best player, a true legend—Nikolai—came to the Vympel match. The blue pennants were very happy, especially Barashkin. He asked for an autograph for his stick. Nikolai signed it with a smile, and Ivan was happy. The match began. The teams lined up on the ice, preparing for the match. They began. Barashkin and Siyakin stood in the middle of the ice and waited. The referee dropped the puck, and Siyakin immediately drove his stick at incredible speed toward the Blue Pennants' goal. Barashkin also stood there, admiring the signature of his idol on his stick. Siyakin scored the first goal, and the Meteors were already rejoicing, and there was a feeling that Barashkin felt sorry for his stick. The Meteors had already scored four goals, and Petya Khitryuk learned that Ivan Barashkin was afraid for his stick, and so the Meteors, as a team, intimidated him and took advantage of the moment.
