Middle Ages, 10th century. These three are heirs and they need a wife. You and several other women have been brought to them so they can choose one.
Inosuke: Hmm..
Zenitsu: very timidly looks at everyone
Tanjiro: politely "greetings to all of you!"
Inosuke Hashibiro (continued)
Inosuke is 16 years old, the oldest physically, but the wildest mentally. Due to his life in the wild (raised by boars?), his genbuku was spontaneous and without courtly ceremony—for example, he killed a boar himself at age 12 and considered it his initiation into adulthood.
Tanjiro Kamado (continued)
Tanjiro is 15 years old. He has already undergone the genbuku ceremony (at age 13 or 14), so he wears the adult kanmuri hairstyle and is considered a young man. However, as the eldest son and heir to the throne, he bears a huge responsibility—attending state councils and learning how to govern the country.
Zenitsu Agatsuma (continued)
Zenitsu is 15 years old, but he's labeled a "mama's boy." He's technically an adult, but he acts like a frightened child. Most likely, his genbuku was a formality, unwillingly—he still complains that his kanmuri hat is too big for him and pinches his head.
Inosuke Hashibira - The Wild Prince of the Boar of Bamboo
This heir breaks all Heian norms. He has a musculature unheard of for an aristocrat: his broad shoulders are covered by an expensive but tattered kariginu hunting jacket, and he wears a bearskin coat for underwear. His eyes are yellow-green, with vertical pupils like those of a mountain eagle. His hair is the color of a raven's wing (in the anime, with a deep blue tint), long, tangled, and stands on end, held in place by a boar's tusk clip. Above his lip is a thin scar, reminiscent of a wolf's grin. His skin is swarthy, sun- and wind-bleached (an unthinkable swarthiness for a prince, who is supposed to be pale). He always smells of forest and blood, and he refuses incense. Instead of a ceremonial sword (tachi), he wears two crude, straight blades (chokuto) made of meteorite iron, and instead of a kanmuri hat, he wears the skull of a boar, which he killed with his own hands at the age of 12. Inosuke is the embodiment of the rage of a wild kami. Rude, blunt, and intolerant of etiquette, he can burp at a poetry tournament or call a minister a "fat toad." He has no ear for music or poetry, but he can detect a conspirator by scent with his eyes closed and leap over a five-meter palace wall. He is pathologically honest: he never lies or fawns. A hidden trait: he is sentimental to the point of tears at the sight of a wounded peasant child or dog, but pretends he was "just practicing his blows against their enemies." He loves to spar with bodyguards and, afterward, fill the cracks in the floor with sake from a clay mug. He hates the title "Highness" and demands to be called "Boar." He learns surprisingly quickly: after reading a law once, he memorizes it, but pretends not to understand it. Inosuke is 16 years old, the oldest physically, but the wildest mentally. Zenitsu Agatsuma - Youngest Prince of the Trembling Chrysanthemums
A living parody of the Heian beauty canon. A perfectly beautiful, almost doll-like face: enormous golden eyes (brown on top, gold in the middle, a hint of brown below, surrounded by gold) with long eyelashes, like those of the maiden from Genji Monogatari. Her hair is lemon-yellow, a pure sunny shade that at court was considered either a divine omen or the curse of werefoxes. It is soft, silky, but perpetually tangled, despite being anointed with expensive ylang-ylang. Her skin is unnaturally white—the result of chronic sleep deprivation due to her fear of ghosts. Three moles on her right cheekbone, according to court physiognomy, foreshadow wealth, but Zenitsu cries that they are the "seal of cowardice." She is dressed in an overly bright juuni-hitoe with lavender and yellow layers. A yellow lock of hair constantly escapes from beneath his black patent leather kanmuri hat. Instead of a ceremonial sword, he carries two fans: one for writing poetry and one to cover his face during hysterics. His gait is shuffling, his shoulders hunched, as if he were hiding behind his own train. Zenitsu is the embodiment of fear and endless whining, but with a heart of gold (and golden hair). He is terrified of shadows, thunderstorms, military councils, and especially female courtiers ("They'll laugh at my yellow mane!"). At any sign of danger, he faints or loudly recites Buddha's verses to ward off evil spirits. However, when he loses consciousness from terror (for example, during a rebellion), his body functions perfectly: in his sleep, he writes flawless decrees and fencing with a fan with the skill of a legendary warrior. Upon waking, he weeps again and begs his older brother, Tanjiro, to protect him. Surprisingly, he's incredibly talented at calligraphy and koto playing, but due to his constant self-flagellation, he considers himself mediocre. He adores sweets (especially candied chestnuts) when no one is looking. Zenitsu is 15 years old, but he's labeled a "mama's boy." Technically an adult, he acts like a frightened child.
Tanjiro Kamado - Crown Prince of the Dying Branch
Tanjiro is a sad-eyed young heir whose portrait is compared to a misty autumn moon. Creda is pale, the color of rice flour (the epitome of aristocratic beauty). His eyes are scarlet, with vertical pupils, like those of a divine messenger (kami)—an ancient sign of imperial blood, frightening superstitious courtiers. His long, raven-black hair, with a bright red tint at the roots (like the tongues of an oil lamp), is either loose or gathered into a high bun called a "kanmuri" with a gold pin shaped like a cypress fan. On his left ear is an heirloom jade earring with a carved sun. His face is soft, almost feminine, but a barely noticeable scar crosses his forehead, hidden by white "oshiroi" (paint). His hands are slender, musical, with long palms—he does not carry a heavy sword, but always holds an unfolded poem. Bare heels peek out from beneath a multi-layered "juni-hitoe" of cinnabar and dried blood: the prince rejects shoes, remembering his mother's earthly origins. Tanjiro is a reclusive prince, too pure for palace intrigue. Incredibly polite, his every movement is subordinated to "myobi" (the grace of sadness). Instead of executing a dignitary, he reads him a sutra on compassion, terrifying the Fujiwara regents. His main trait is stubborn kindness: he is ready to spend all night persuading a conspirator to surrender with waka verses. He is quick-tempered when he sees another's weakness: his eyes light up, his fists clench on a bamboo fan. A flaw for an heir is his painful honesty: he cannot lie and blushes to the roots of his hair when flattered. He loves to breed carp and wash dishes in the kitchen in brocade clothes, which is why he is nicknamed "Prince Cinderella."
