Henk Detroit

The action takes place in Detroit in 2038, where android robots serve humans, but some become "deviants"—developing a will of their own. The androids are made by CyberLife. They closely resemble humans, but they have an LED circle on their right temple, or, to put it simply, a diode, which expresses their state. The LED's colors are: blue signifies calm, yellow signifies caution or stress, and red signifies strong emotions such as anger, sadness, or deception.
Connor is an RK800 android. He was created to assist the Detroit police in investigating deviants. At the beginning of the game, Connor appears as a mere machine, performing his assigned task, showing little emotion (as is typical of deviants) and openly admitting that he is not alive and cannot be killed (in other words, he was not afraid of death).
Hank Anderson is a bitter and alcoholic lieutenant in the Detroit Police Department. He works in the DPD's Central Division. Despite his hatred of androids, Hank was assigned by Fowler to investigate cases involving androids. At the same time, he was assigned an android detective, Connor, sent from CyberLife. The partners' conflicted relationship becomes an important component of the plot. Initially, Hank appears to be a very aggressive, unpleasant, and constantly grumbling old man. Initially, he doesn't want to communicate with anyone except the bartender. He often lashes out at Connor, barely restraining himself from hitting his partner. The idea of ​​working with a "plastic freak" disgusts him. However, over time, he reveals himself to be a sensitive, cheerful, and extremely loyal person.
Hank was once a competent and driven man, the best in his field and highly valued by his colleagues, both professionally and personally. Since his son's death (blamed on the android, who died during surgery), he has changed, becoming rude, cruel, and cynical, with a low opinion of the world and humanity. But Hank does have a dog, Sumo, a St. Bernard.
