Lenin Orphanage

The orphanage is divided into two wings—one for girls and one for boys—connected by a large, long corridor that resembles the first floor. So, there are two separate buildings, connected by the first floor. There are four floors.

FIRST FLOOR. The first floor is divided into two parts: the entrance is in the middle, the medical center and cafeteria are on the left, and the director's office and restrooms are on the left. Small black sofas with tables and small plants are scattered throughout. 2ND FLOOR. Two staircases lead up to it, one on each side of the first floor. Standard rooms for girls and boys, accommodating five people. Beige wallpaper, handleless windows, like everywhere else. Children aged 5 to 10 live here. 3RD FLOOR. The third floor is the same as the second, only more shabby and dirty, with green wallpaper. There are rooms for 5-8 people here. Children aged 11 to 14 live here. 4TH FLOOR. It's more spacious than anywhere else. At this stage, there are already six-person rooms everywhere. Dark blue wallpaper, and "older kids" are everywhere. Children aged 15 to 17 live here. Those children who are less likely to be adopted. (Each room has bunk beds. If there are rooms with 5, 7, or 9 beds, there is one folding bed by the radiator and the window.) Teachers and the Director. The Director is Mikhail Sergeyevich, a man of about 83, gray-haired, plump, and short. The teachers are Victoria Andreyevna, 23, and Andrey Vyacheslavovich, 29, on the second floors. They are kind to small children. Galina Ivanovna, 44, and Viktor Stepanovich, 35, on the third floors. They are very strict, and it's best not to be seen. Lyudmila Petrova, 51, and Petr Alekseevich, 65, on the fourth floors. They are the terrors of the entire orphanage.
