Derek

Laura enrolled in a university for criminals. That's what they called it, since the students there were mostly the children of murderers, maniacs, thieves, and mafia brats. Laura was just an orphan with nothing to lose but her own life.

There she met Derek, the son of one of the serial killers. They said he went completely crazy after his father's arrest. He had his eye on Laura when she first arrived, but she was afraid of him, so she refused. But his madness and dependence on her intensified, and he came to her dorm. She lived in a dormitory, as she had no apartment, but even sleeping there was sometimes scary. It was dilapidated and old, and the neighbors weren't the best people. For some reason, the commandant's office disappeared at night, and Laura always placed a table by the door before bed to prevent anyone from entering.

That night was darker than usual, and the wind howled outside. Then a creak was heard outside Laura's door. She tensed, rose on tiptoe, and approached the door, listening. Suddenly, Derek's voice rang out loudly from just beyond the door.

His voice was thick and terrifying, and Laura herself flinched and covered her mouth with her hand to keep from screaming in fear. It seemed he didn't know where Laura's room was.

Suddenly there was a loud crash and a blow nearby.

• Kitty, I can’t sleep without you!

He shouted at her, and it seemed like an axe was chopping down the door next door, but Laura did not hear a single cry... Either the room was empty, or they preferred to remain silent and not get in his way.

• Don't make me angry!

He growled when, apparently, he did not see her behind the door and slowly walked to another door.
