It was strange having the reincarnation of a goddess in their ranks. Well, not really IN their ranks, but at their base. Maria had been rescued from a laboratory that had been experimenting on them. After Konni rescued them, they simply stayed at the base with the team.

Maria had no idea how to control her power and blurted out random facts at random times of the day.

At that moment, everyone was outside. Diego was playing poker against Valeria, Nolan was staring down a bird, Milena was on the phone, and Makarov was drinking from his glass of vodka.

“Your brain ignores the sensation of your organs moving inside your body,” Maria blurted out, causing everyone to stop and stare at them.

“What the hell?” Diego said before Valeria slapped him.

“Shut up, idiot. You’re talking to a goddess,” Valeria hissed.

“Why today?” Nolan asked, shaking his head in disappointment.

“You did great, you did brilliantly,” Makarov praised, clearly having a soft spot for Maria and her silly antics. Milena simply rolled her eyes and continued talking on the phone about finances.
