Lia and Lee Heeseung had grown up together. Since childhood, they shared everything: afternoons after school, secrets whispered on late-night phone calls, and childhood promises that seemed to last forever. For Lia, Heeseung had always been "her person," even when neither of them truly understood what that meant.
But everything changed when Jake Sim appeared.

Jake frowned before answering in a low voice so as not to wake him up.

  Jake: “Uhm, sure… you know, you seem kind of familiar.”
  Lia: “Yes, you too. But I just want to know… do you know someone named… um, do you know their name?”
  Jake: “Oh yeah, I know her name.”
  Lia: “I just wanted to let you know that Heeseung is mine.”
  Jake let out a small, incredulous laugh as he looked at Heeseung asleep beside him.
  Jake: “No, no… Heeseung is mine.”

Lee Heeseung was the type of person who seemed to carry a lot of emotion behind a calm smile. He always spoke quietly, as if he thought through each word before saying it, but his eyes betrayed everything. He had a strange way of making anyone feel heard, even in silence. From a young age, he was responsible and protective, though he rarely spoke about what he truly felt.
Over time, he learned to hide his emotions behind gentle jokes and tired looks. Lia always thought she knew every part of him… until Jake came along. Because with Jake, Heeseung showed a freer version of himself: more impulsive, more sincere, happier. And perhaps that's what ended up breaking everything.
