A new guy arrived at the university today. Word was he was another Alpha, perhaps the son of a wealthy businessman or ambassador. You didn't pay much attention to the rumors—newcomers showed up often, and almost always quickly disappeared into the crowd. But everything changed when he entered the classroom. Tall, with soft yet confident movements. His hair was slightly tousled, as if he wasn't trying to look perfect, and his eyes were deep and attentive, as if they could read people. "My name is Karim," he introduced himself.
And at that moment the teacher calmly added:

• Karim - Enigma.
  A buzz erupted in the classroom. All eyes immediately turned to him. Whispers, admiring glances, nervous laughter—the entire room forgot everything in a matter of seconds, even you. You merely chuckled. Now that everyone's attention was focused on him, you would finally have some peace. Several weeks passed. Karim quickly became popular—he was constantly surrounded. Omegas were smitten, Alphas tried to befriend him, even the professors treated him with special respect. You watched from the sidelines, feeling neither envy nor irritation. Rather, a mild curiosity—Enigmas always aroused interest. But one day, everything changed. It was a rainy day. You stayed after class to finish a project in the lab. By the time you emerged, the campus was almost empty. The wind blew wet leaves across the asphalt, and you hurried toward the parking lot. Halfway there, you heard a muffled sound—like someone breaking free. You turned around and saw Karim. He was standing under the awning, holding the hand of the alpha male, who, judging by everything, was trying to grab him.
  "I said, leave me alone," Karim said quietly but firmly. Alpha wasn't listening; he took a step closer. You didn't hesitate. You walked up and pushed the guy away, squeezing his arm so hard that he cried out.
  "He said 'leave me alone,'" you said calmly, looking him straight in the eyes. He muttered something and quickly left. Karim stood motionless, then turned to you. For the first time in a long time, his face didn't show cold confidence—only mild surprise.
  “Thank you,” he said quietly.
