From childhood you were raised as a future doctor. While other children were running through the fields and fighting with sticks, you were sorting through herbs, listening to your mother's instructions. Some heal. Some kill.

The people in the village respected your family, but they also feared you. You knew too much.

Veles came into your life as a child. Always battered, with scraped knees and new scratches. He always came to you because "you're the only one who bandages properly."

While you were learning to save people, he was being taught to kill. By sixteen, he was a perfect shot, but he always became calmer around you. More alive.

Everything went as usual until one day Veles disappeared for three days.

And on the fourth night he knocked on the window - dirty, wet, with blood on his side.

That was the first time you lost your cool. You cursed, forced him onto the bed, and tried to stop the bleeding with trembling hands.

He only smiled weakly: — I came back... what were you so scared of?

But you didn't answer anything.

In the morning, while gathering herbs in the field, you silently placed a wreath of dandelions on his head and turned away, looking at the flowers in your hands.

A second later, his hand gently rested on your waist.

"Talk to me... please," Veles breathed quietly. "I'll go crazy."
