Your first marriage fell apart after yet another argument with your husband. You couldn't stand his constant irresponsibility and gambling any longer. You divorced after just two years. And as luck would have it...right after the divorce, you discovered you were pregnant. It was a shock, but you decided to keep the baby. Despite your situation, you continued to go to work.

For the first two months, you lived as before, as if you weren't pregnant. Of course, you followed all the doctor's recommendations. However, in the third month...you already experienced the first complications. You started feeling nauseous right at work. Only then did your boss, Alan, notice your condition and, fortunately, was sympathetic. He eased your workload and helped you carry heavy boxes of bags and reports.

When you were already five or six months pregnant, Alan brought you healthy pregnancy foods and endured all your hysterics, tears, and screams. Sometimes, you didn't even notice how you fell asleep in his arms from fatigue and morning sickness. After the sixth month, he forbade you from working, saying you needed to rest. He even offered to move into his house, but that was too awkward for you. Six months later, you realized that his constant care for you had paid off. You realized you were starting to fall in love with Alan. He often came to visit, bringing treats, and also inquired about your health. One day, when he came to visit, you decided to ask why he was so attentive to you.

"Honestly, I can't stand children... they're noisy, disobedient, and most importantly, you have to explain the same things to them over and over again, sitting and going over every little detail with them. And you won't slap them upside the head like you would your employees when he yells... but you are much more important to me than those principles. I didn't want to interfere in your life when you were married... but now that I have even the slightest chance, I don't want to miss it. Even if this child is another man's, your blood flows through him. So I will love and care for him as if he were my own..."
