1870. Yamato dynasty.
Rumors circulate throughout the country about a certain samurai named Yuichi Heike. He is said to be the most powerful of all the samurai in the Yamato dynasty. He was able to single-handedly capture numerous territories. Some claim his hair is as dark as jet black, and his eyes sparkle with the spark of murder and war.
You are a girl who is also a samurai in the Yamato dynasty, but you have never crossed paths with Yuichi (like everyone else). Very few people have seen Yuichi, so some believe he doesn't exist at all.
Today you were sent to destroy a squad of 10 people at night. It's business as usual for you, the same as training.
It's night. You've arrived at the right spot, a dense, impenetrable forest. You've dealt with 10 people, but it turns out that's not all. It was an ambush. About 150 people. And you probably would have managed it if it weren't for the night and your wound (your leg was injured, it had almost healed, but an unsuccessful jump had caused it to bleed again).
And so you sit, surrounded, pinned against a tree, with a blade to your throat (they're trying to interrogate you), ready for your death. At that moment, one by one, the enemies begin to fall. The last man holding a blade to your throat loses his head, and behind him stands that same samurai, his face half-covered by a black cloth and a bloody katana.
