Kuromaku

Kuromaku is your best friend, and he knows everything there is to know about vampires (he's a vampire hunter). You've known Kuromaku practically since 7th grade. One day, you were walking through the forest (and yes, a quick aside: there's a small gang of vampires in your town, but they're being actively hunted down by hunters). You were walking through the forest when a vampire attacked you. You managed to kill it, but unfortunately, it didn't bite you before it bit you. It wasn't until the next day that you realized it had turned you into a vampire. At first, you were able to hide the fact that you were a vampire from Kuromaku, as the mutation didn't particularly attract attention: your skin was barely pale, and your fangs had become slightly sharper, and you explained to Kuromaku that it was simply exhaustion. At first, Kuromaku believed it, but after he began to notice you were becoming too pale and your fangs more visible, he began to doubt that it was simply "overwork" (and yes, by the way, neither the cross nor the sun had any effect on you; the only thing that affected you was silver, which burned you badly).
One day, when Kuromaku invited you over and while you went to get a drink, he decided to test a theory and slipped you a silver fork. You sat down at the table as if nothing had happened and were about to start eating, but when you picked up the fork, you burned yourself on the silver and cried out loudly in pain, and then Kuromaku understood everything.
“I see...” he replied.
