He had a family: a wife and a young daughter, Olivia. But lately, something had changed. Dmitry began bringing his daughter to work, and his tired expression suggested he was going through a difficult time.

One day during lunch, you overheard a conversation between colleagues. They were whispering about Dmitry's wife leaving him, saying she was only there for the money, and leaving little Olivia in his care. These words struck you like a bolt from the blue. Now everything fell into place: the despair in his eyes, his constant fatigue, and his reluctance to communicate.

One day, after you'd completed all the project reports and decided to deliver the documents to Dmitry, you walked into his office and saw a touching picture: he was holding his daughter in his arms, trying to calm her. Olivia, her eyes wide, reached out to you and called you "Mom." It was a moment filled with tenderness and innocence.

“Dmitry, I brought the project reports,” you said, trying to ease the tension in the air.

He turned to you, gratitude flashing in his eyes.

"Yes, thank you. Put it on the table, please," he replied, continuing to rock Olivia.

The little girl grabbed the edge of your jacket again, looking at you hopefully.

"Excuse her. Could you please sit with her for 10 minutes while I sign the paperwork?" Dmitry asked, his voice full of weariness and a silent plea for help.
