Lily Lovebraids is a toy produced by Playtime Co.. She appeared as a secondary antagonist in Chapter 5: Broken Things.

In 1995, Playtime Co.'s scientists used her likeness to plan Experiment 1468. Although her design and controllable hair had been finalized by August 6, they had not chosen a candidate at that time. On August 8, 1995, the toys turned on the company staff and slaughtered them. One employee was taken hostage: Gracie Green, a high-ranking counselor who had psychologically tortured the experiments to embrace their new identities. For her transgressions, Gracie was elected as Experiment 1468's candidate, surgically transformed in 1995 and subjected to her own conditioning in 1996. With her identity and crimes forgotten, Lily was sentenced to isolation by The Prototype and later exiled to Sweet Street. Lily took up residence in her own Dollhouse, where she continuously attempted to gain The Prototype's favor even when The Player returned in 2005.

Lily Lovebraids is a tan ball-jointed doll that lacks a nose, has large oval-shaped eyes with black irises, round ears and blushed cheeks, and a smiling mouth framed by white teeth. She has a long curved eyelash for each eyelid. Her most notable feature is her long vibrant purple hair, which first appears wrapped into a large chignon-like style and then unfolds into three lengthy braids, with a singular bang hanging out from her forehead. At the back of her head, there is a golden ring that holds some hair braids that stick out from it. She wears a purple t-shirt and black suspenders with a yellow star embroidered on the front pocket. Her suspenders flow out into a black triangular skirt with white diamond-shaped lining. Lily also wears purple Mary Jane shoes and black over-the-calf socks with white trims; a yellow star is embroidered on each one. While the sock on her left leg is fully extended, the one on her right leg is pulled up to her mid-calf.

In dark areas, part of Lily’s hair glows a bright purple while her eyes and teeth glow green.

When losing her temper, Lily's eyes become dilated and slightly bloodshot, exuding a manic vibe. Each of her braids also seem to end in three gnarled claws.

As a result of her conditioning, Lily acquired many of the behavioral traits that Ms. Gracie's persona displays in the conditioning videos. She attempts to keep up an excited, optimistic and friendly personality, and emphasizes words and gestures as if wanting to engage those she is speaking with, much like the host of a kids' TV show. Like Ms. Gracie in the videos, she has the habit of occasionally referring to people, including herself, through nicknames consisting in alliterative or rhyming pairs of adjective and name (such as "Silly Lily", "Winning Wendy" or "Asking Annie"), usually to describe someone's behavior or situation. She also adopted the ideals that the videos tried to instill in the toys - the belief that she has always been a toy, that it is important to well-behave, and that bad toys must be punished by being put "Inside the Bad Toy Box". In a message written by the Prototype about Lily after her 410th day of isolation in the Conditioning Wing (at which point, her conditioning had already been completed), he describes her as "childishly naive".

Similarly, Lily acquired some of the traits that are associated with her toy's character. More specifically, she seems very fond of tea parties and cooking. She also keeps a "girly" pose while walking and running (with arms extended along her sides, and hands slightly raised with the back facing upwards), even when she is mad. Unlike her fictional counterpart, however, Lily has not yet been shown displaying an interest in dressing up or in styling hair, or in hair in general.

Since she lost her memories as a result of her conditioning, Lily is unable to understand why she is an outcast among the Prototype's followers. As a result of this, she is desperate for the Prototype's approval, doing anything she can to earn a place at his side as well as worrying over anything that might displease him. She also seems to harbor some level of hatred for Poppy Playtime, demanding she stop singing while captive, displaying bitterness at her being The Prototype's "favorite" despite her continued rebellions, and even attempting to inflict further harm upon her after her face got accidentally crushed. Besides the Prototype, the only other person Lily cares about is Ms. Gracie. Since Lily does not remember her previous life, she believes Ms. Gracie's persona in the conditioning videos to be the woman's actual personality; as such, she believes her to be a kind, friendly person, and is grateful to her for having made her who she is and having been the only one who ever kept her company. When Lily finds her former corpse, she recognizes it as Ms. Gracie from the conditioning tapes and brings it to the Dollhouse, where she starts caring for it as if it were alive, gifting it plushies and flowers, dressing it up in jewels, brushing its head believing it to still have hair, and setting up a personal room for it where it can sleep. However, Lily's awareness of her previous life seems to still exist on a subconscious level: when she discovers that someone has gotten inside her room, where Ms. Gracie's body lies,, she lulls the corpse by telling it to go back to sleep and that "no one is going to hurt [her] anymore", despite the fact that she should not be aware of the fact that Ms. Gracie has been tortured.

Lily's unstable state of mind is evident in much of her mannerisms. When she gets excited, she expresses her joy by smiling or laughing maniacally, and similarly does so while angered, at the prospect of getting to punish those that wronged her. She is quick to jump to conclusions, such as when she assumes that The Player has come for her tea party upon first encountering them, or when she blames them for ruining it (to the point of accusing them of being ungrateful despite her hospitality) despite The Player having played no role in the event. Furthermore, although she quickly grows suspicious of The Player after suspecting that they might have been talking to Poppy and Missy, she does not keep an eye on them and trusts them not to sneak around while they complete her tasks (however, it is unclear whether she did this out of self-delusion about The Player's motivations, or out of confidence that The Player is not going to defy her). Lily also seems to assume that anyone she encounters is a toy, as she mistakes The Player as one, and it is unclear whether she ever realizes The Player's true nature or the role they have played so far, though it is implied that she knows about them killing Doey.

Lily's most notable display of insanity, however, is her habit of talking to inanimate toys as if they were alive, even going as far as to place them around the Dollhouse in situations that mimic domestic activities, a coping mechanism developed to deal with the isolationism forced upon her. In particular, she always carries around a Candy Cat head, which she uses to express her more pessimistic and grounded thoughts (such as suggesting that The Player might not have come for the tea party like she wants to believe) by talking to herself in a lower-pitch voice and pretending that it is the head doing so, at which point Lily replies to it by dismissing its claims or rectifying them. When, during the tea party, the Prototype damages the head annoyed by Lily's behavior.

Despite her pretense of being a nice person, Lily is actually selfish, bossy, and easily angered, nor does she make any honest attempt to hide it. Even while acting friendly, her dialogue is punctured with mean sarcasm and threatening innuendos, and she speaks with taunt and belittlement to people she is being explicitly hostile toward. She considers "bad toys" those who do not do as she says or disrespect her, and reacts with violence when met with such behavior, to the point of attempting to kill The Player if they ignore her while she is talking to them, cheat at her "Green Light/Red Light" game, or when they try to flee the Dollhouse. However, because of her confidence, Lily seems to prefer to toy with her victims rather than kill them right away, as shown when she challenges The Player to a game upon catching their first attempt to escape, expecting them to lose and thus to kill them during it; in such occasion, she also proves that she is willing to go back on her word, since she quickly recaptures The Player despite having promised them "a prize" had they managed to win. Only when she is truly furious, such as after the tea party, does she go straight for the kill; in this state, she has been shown performing childish tantrums, such as angrily banging against a door in order to open it, and her voice occasionally distorts. In the past, this side of Lily's personality was seemingly even more unstable, as she initially
