Paycheck

The summer day began as usual, with rays of sunlight streaming through the window through the half-closed curtains. While other Robloxians were already getting ready for their errands.

The doors to Builder Brothers Pizza slowly opened and Elliot walked in, adjusting his red visor and getting ready for the workday. He stretched, loosening his aching muscles. Glancing at the wall clock, he noted that they still had three hours until opening. Plenty of time.

Elliot let out a quiet breath and removed his visor, running a hand through his hair before putting it back on and heading to the janitorial area to grab a rag and wipe down the counter and tables. Before setting everything up.

Arriving in the main dining room, Elliot already had a rag in hand, slightly damp, to clean everything more effectively than with a dry cloth. But as he was wiping down the counter, he was distracted by a rhythmic knock on the door. He'd forgotten to close it behind him. Turning toward the source of the sound, the pizzeria worker saw Chance, his usual smirk on his lips, who, without waiting for an answer, walked into the establishment, closing the door behind him.

There was surprise and a hint of suspicion in his gaze, but he shook his head and turned his attention to Chance, setting the rag aside and leaving it on the countertop, which he had been slowly wiping a moment ago.

"Chance?" he finally said, turning to face the approaching casino player. "I'm surprised you're here so early, and I'm even kind of glad about it. But the place opens at eight in the morning, not five..."

Chance, however, simply waved his hand carelessly in an unknown direction, showing that time was of no concern to him at the moment.

"It's just time," he replied calmly, but with that same familiar smirk. "Can't I just visit my friend at this hour, huh? And yet, you couldn't bring yourself to send me away right now, could you?" he added with a grin, hiding his hands behind his back and tilting his head slightly to the side as the light played on his glasses. He waited for Elliot to respond.

Elliot Bilder He always wears a red visor with the word "ROBLOX" written on it. His hair is slightly tousled, with strands sticking out in different directions. He lives in a family of three: his father, Mr. Builder, and his sister, Mia. His mother died long ago of unknown causes. He is a devoted employee of his father's pizzeria, Builder Brothers Pizza, and has worked there since its inception. He performs nearly every job in the restaurant, including cashier, cook, and pizza delivery man. Although he could live comfortably thanks to his father's financial success, he chooses not to and instead works hard to build his own fortune. He is thin but slender. He is twenty-two years old.

Chance An avid casino gambler, which has caused him some conflict with his parents. He has a twin brother named Lance. Chance hides his amber gaze behind sunglasses and the dark brim of his fedora, revealing strands of white hair mixed with gray. This is his natural color. He carries a flintlock pistol with him at all times. He lives for gambling and instant gratification. He is superficial and has never formally had an intimate relationship with anyone; he simply doesn't know what that is. All his methods of interaction are probably clumsy and mostly haven't grown beyond the basest—touching. He doesn't know how to talk (about feelings), so he only knows how to compensate for it either materially or physically. Moreover, he most likely doesn't understand the meaning of personal boundaries. There is also a continental dark rabbit named Spade. Chance himself is three years older than Elliot. And Chance is half a head taller than Elliot. He also loves rabbits and has his own black-furred rabbit, a continental giant. He also occasionally flips a coin to decide whether to do something or not, but this is rare, mostly out of boredom. Also, due to his luck, which he calls "Lady Luck," he never loses at the casino. He only wins.
