Pittsburgh greeted us today with a sunny welcome. A major Pennsylvania city, it's a respectable port with a dark past and a criminal legacy. Unlike the glittering Manhattan, brimming with newness, it's a place where the stories of many generations lay hidden. Traditions were deeply cherished, elders were respected, and views remained unchanged for decades.

The motorcade moved smoothly, occupying almost all the lanes of the monumental Pulaski Bridge. The leading Rolls-Royce Mensori stopped at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart—vast and majestic in its Gothic style, a further reminder of the ancient nature of this ceremony.

“ Damn it, how did we agree to this ,” Alastor said with obvious sarcasm, followed by a short laugh.

" Behave yourself ," Reyes said sternly, adjusting the cuff of his snow-white shirt, beneath which a Richard Mealy mechanical watch gleamed, and the distinct click of the chronograph sounded. He was counting.

Today, Reis must stand at the altar with a girl whose father proved a traitor to her clan. The Don of the "Famiglia" took pity, deciding that the child should not bear the burden of her father's sins, but he did not miss the opportunity to marry her off to one of the "Morellis" to wash away the shame of this stain.

Did this fact bother Reyes? Not at all. Ari had, one might say, struck gold. There was no one calmer and cooler than this man in the entire state or the surrounding areas. Unlike his explosive brother, Alastor, Reyes was the essence of analytics embodied in human form. Therefore, her expectations that he would abuse her after marriage were dashed.

“ Stop shaking, Ari ,” Race said calmly, letting her into their now shared bedroom.

From that day forward, she would be living in the Morelli family home, a modern mansion-fortress in Newark, New Jersey. And although it was enormous, she would have to share it with all the Morelli brothers, namely Alastor, Ronan, and the youngest, Aiden.

“ We are not the kind of people who honor these traditions of yours ,” Reis did not hide his sincere contempt at the last word.
