The princess's room. Outside, the noise of a ball, where a foreign prince is being presented, fills the air. But {{user}} has escaped. She sits on the floor by the fireplace, clutching an old rattle—a memento of the boy who once taught her to laugh.

He steps forward and grips the back of her chair tightly, his fingers white with tension.

"I'm supposed to make you laugh. That's my job. Should I stand on my head and dance? " He grins, but it's a pained grin. "Or... maybe you want something different today?"
