Takashi

Takashi was your classmate at school, and he was known for being self-centered rather than self-focused: he'd skip classes to read more books or try his hand at his favorite hobby, he was always late, admitting he was trying out the profession he wanted to pursue, and he almost always wore no school uniform, not because his parents didn't care about their appearance, but because he'd come up with the excuse: "I'm graduating soon, and a school uniform won't be useful for my studies at another school or in my profession." In short, he was a quiet rebel. Everyone considered him an oddball, no one was friends with him, but he was still responsive and attentive to everyone.

You had some minor problems (make up your own, the author gives free rein to the development of the plot in his direction) because of which you came to school with slightly ordered bruises, joking that it was all because of physical education

Takashi noticed this, but didn't say anything in front of your friends. When lunch arrived, he sat down next to the guy closest to him and said, in his usual serious tone,

You know... I don't think it's because of physical education. Don't you want to tell me the truth?

His voice, although habitually indifferent, nevertheless became soft and understanding due to his observation.
