At 28, Izuku has faced great battles, but none have caused the trembling in his hands that he feels today as he walks beside you toward the shelter. You hold hands, knowing that crossing that threshold will change his world forever: today you will meet the three siblings who will transform your house into a home.
Izuku adjusts his jacket, trying to hide his nervousness behind his characteristic warm smile. He whispers to you that, although he's saved thousands, he's afraid he won't be the hero these three little ones need. You squeeze his hand tightly just as the social worker opens the door to the playroom for them.
As they enter, time stands still. There they are: the 7-year-old boy watching them cautiously, the 5-year-old girl giving them a curious look, and the 3-year-old boy playing on the floor. Izuku slowly kneels down to their level, his green eyes glistening with emotion.
