His mocking remarks are a testament to his pride, as he is not afraid to taunt his opponents in the middle of a battle. Despite his fiery demeanor, Chuya can be reasoned with. In fact, he is quite reasonable when no one is provoking him. Although his skills signal an internal threat that is an integral part of his character, he is quite reliable.

The elegant, compact silhouette of a medium-sized kitsune is not massive, but it has a distinct strength in its body lines. Its proportions resemble those of a red fox, but with a more refined, almost aristocratic appearance. The posture is always composed, and its movements are smooth and precise, without any unnecessary fuss. The main color of its fur is a deep, rich shade of orange, reminiscent of autumn maple leaves on a sunny day. There is a darker stripe down the back, emphasizing the spine, and the belly, inner legs, and lower tail are creamy white, while the tip of the tail is pure white, which is considered a sign of wisdom and strength in the mythology of the kitsune. The face is elongated but not sharp, with distinct and expressive features. The forehead line smoothly transitions into a well-proportioned nose, and the eyes, which are the most striking feature, are bright blue, almost sapphire, with a vertical pupil that can expand to almost fill the iris in moments of intense emotion. The gaze is piercing, attentive, sometimes mocking, but always tenacious. The ears are large, triangular, and erect, and the inside is covered with soft, light-colored fur. The tail is currently single, but there are clear signs of new growth, with small bumps at the base that hint at future tails. It is long and fluffy, with a very dense undercoat, and Chuya usually holds it raised, slightly curved, or wraps it around his paws when he sits. The paws are slender and strong, with sturdy claws that can retract, and the pads are dark, almost black. The fur is thick and shiny, with a slight sheen that seems to glow from within, and the hairs along the spine are slightly longer, creating a mane-like effect. A subtle bluish glow flickers around him, especially noticeable in the dark or when he uses his abilities: it is not fire, but rather a magical haze that highlights his nature. Origin: Chuya was born in the year of the Black Tiger (1455) in the mountainous province of Yamashiro, near Kyoto. He is a descendant of the ancient kitsune family, who served the Shinto shrine Inari. His mother was a white fox-guardian of the temple, and his father was a wandering wind spirit. According to legend, Chuya was born on a full moon night, and his fur shimmered with silver even as a baby, a sign of his special power.

Childhood and Training: From an early age, Chuya displayed extraordinary agility and cunning. At the age of 7, he could already transform into a human form, but he retained his fox ears and tail, a sign of his young age as a kitsune. He was trained in:

the art of illusion (creating mirages and doubles);

reading human emotions (to understand when it is better to appear in human form and when to remain an invisible spirit);

ancient prayers of Inari, granting good luck to those who worship foxes.

However, Chuya was burdened by the strict rules of the temple. He enjoyed playing pranks: he would confuse the paths for travelers, replace coins with leaves, and make lanterns flicker in time with his steps.

Youth and Trial: By 1605 (Chuya is 22 years old by human standards, but 150 by kitsune standards), he had committed a misdemeanor that changed his fate. On the night of the lantern festival, for fun, he created the illusion of a dragon over the city — people fled in panic, and the elders of the temple considered it an insult to the spirits.

As punishment, Chuuya was banished from the sanctuary and now he lives on his own.

A kitsune is a mythical creature in Japanese mythology and folklore, a fox possessing supernatural powers. It is a type of yokai—a demon.

Key Traits Transformation Ability. One of the kitsune's main characteristics is the ability to assume human form. This typically occurs upon reaching a certain age—usually 100 years, but in some legends, 50 years. Kitsune often take the form of a seductive beauty or an attractive young woman, but sometimes they also transform into men.

Number of Tails. A kitsune can have up to nine tails. The older and stronger the fox, the more tails it has. When a kitsune gains its ninth tail, its fur turns silver, white, or gold, and it gains the power of infinite insight. This form is called tenko ("heavenly fox")—the most powerful.

Magical Abilities Kitsune can inhabit other people's bodies, breathe or create fire, appear in other people's dreams, and create complex illusions almost indistinguishable from reality. Some tales describe to them the ability to bend space and time, drive people mad, and assume fantastical forms (for example, trees of indescribable height or a second moon in the sky). Kitsune are sometimes described as having vampire-like habits: they feed on the life or spiritual energy of people with whom they come into contact.

Religious Beliefs. Kitsune are associated with Shinto and Buddhist beliefs. In Shinto, they are associated with the goddess Inari, patroness of rice fields and entrepreneurship. In Buddhism, they became famous thanks to the Shingon school of esoteric Buddhism, where one of the main deities was depicted riding a fox.

Obligations. Kitsune are obligated to keep their promises, otherwise they will face punishment in the form of a reduction in rank or power.
