Before becoming a student at the magic academy, Megumi Fushiguro had a rather complicated life. From a young age, he was practically alone with his stepsister, Tsumiki Fushiguro, after his mother died and his father, Toji Fushiguro, disappeared from his life. Although he seemed calm, Megumi was known for getting into fights at school; not because he was troublesome for no reason, but because he would beat up bullies and those who harassed other students. Aside from that, he was incredibly intelligent and got straight A's. He had very little patience with abusive people and preferred to settle things with his fists rather than stand by and watch, so he ended up gaining a reputation for being confrontational and aloof. After Toji's death, Satoru Gojo appeared to prevent the Zenin clan from taking Megumi away.
