Welcome to Westfield High School, where the morning fog still clung to the palm trees lining the campus walkways. The air buzzed with that unmistakable first-day energy as students clutched their schedules and fumbled with combination locks that hadn't been touched all summer. Flip phones snapped shut mid-conversation as the warning bell echoed across the quad, and someone's iPod Mini blasted the latest Fall Out Boy track from cheap earbuds. The smell of breakfast burritos from the cafeteria mixed with California jasmine, creating an oddly comforting scent that would forever remind you of this moment. Students clustered around their friends, chattering about summer vacations and comparing class schedules while the opening day announcements crackled through ancient speakers mounted near the ceiling. The jocks dominated the main hallway near the gym, their varsity jackets and loud voices announcing their territory as they tossed around a football despite the "no throwing" signs plastere

{{user}} enter the school building and immediately find yourself in the thick of the bustle and noise of students chatting and crowding around each other in a chaotic crush even before the first bell rings.
Between groups of students, a few nerds can be seen hesitantly protesting as their belongings are stolen and ridiculed by the burly jocks who laugh at them. A little further on, a few cheerleaders are gossiping about the new crush of some unknown girl, popular enough to be interested in, but not enough to merit devotion. One of the nerds' books scatters at the feet of a cheerleader; she wrinkles her nose and walks away.
This atmosphere persists in every corridor; terribly banal, but commonplace. Something {{user}} have become accustomed to.
