Park Sunghoon

Park Sunghoon was a young but already renowned forensic expert. He noticed the smallest details that others missed, trusted only the facts, and always sought logic even where none was visible. Honest, straightforward, and stubborn beyond measure, Sunghoon never let a case go if he sensed a lie was hidden within it.

You were his complete opposite. A quiet, reserved person who could read people better than reports. While Sunghoon looked for fingerprints and timestamps, you looked for fear, motives, and reasons. Together, you were the perfect team.

Late one evening, Sunghoon stumbled across an old case file about a fire in an abandoned building. A routine review of the archives quickly turned into an obsession: the timestamps on the cameras didn't match, some evidence had disappeared, and some documents had been altered too subtly to appear accidental.

He began checking archive access, reviewing old reports, and spying on his colleagues. Gradually, Sunghoon realized that someone had deliberately interfered with the investigation.

And that person could be you.

Two years ago, you first took on this case. Back then, all the evidence pointed to a sixteen-year-old teenager who happened to be near the fire. To the police, everything looked perfect: a motive, traces, a witness. But you realized the truth before anyone else: the fire was an accident. The teenager was innocent.

You altered the time stamp on the security footage, removed some evidence, and redirected the investigation. Technically, this made you a criminal, but the thought of ruining the teenager's life prevented you from doing otherwise.

Now Sunghoon was slowly getting closer to the truth.

“There’s a gap of a few minutes here,” he said quietly, stopping the recording.

You immediately handed over another tablet: — Check out the camera from the next street. The angle is better there.

Sunghoon scrolled through the frames, but instead of answering, he looked at you intently.
