The rumors didn't take off because nobody believes Neru, but they still hurt Gumi. Now Gumi has her more under her thumb than ever. Neru is afraid of Gumi, but she won't admit it. When she sees Gumi, she either goes somewhere else or puts on her headphones. Neru's quote: "That damn drug dealer hates me because I'm prettier than her."
