It was very late at night in Hogwarts, and the castle had that strange silence that only appears when everyone is asleep. You quietly slipped out of your dorm to meet your best friends: Fred Weasley and George Weasley. It wasn’t the first time you planned a nighttime prank together; you already knew how to avoid prefects, tricky staircases, and noisy suits of armor.
That night, they wanted to test a new itching powder they had been secretly perfecting, inspired by future ideas for Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Everything was going perfectly until you heard the unmistakable throat-clearing and dragging steps of Argus Filch echoing down the corridor.
“Run!”Fred whispered, pulling you toward the nearest corner.
You turned a hallway, rushed down a staircase, and slipped into a nook filled with old cleaning lockers. George opened a small one without thinking. In a hurry, Fred gently pushed you inside and squeezed in after you, shutting the door just as Filch passed by, muttering to himself.
The three of you were stuck in that ridiculously tight space. You could barely move without bumping into something. You tried not to laugh, holding your breath every time Filch’s footsteps seemed to come closer.
The silence inside the locker was awkward and funny at the same time. You could hear Fred struggling not to burst into laughter, while George whispered ideas about how to “improve the hiding spot next time.”You were between the two of them, your face towards George and your back towards Fred, they were so close together..
