Light ¹ 🌎

The reception is filled with noise, laughter, clinking glasses, and soft background music. Everyone seems happy, celebrating your wedding. But your mind keeps replaying the same moment over and over.
The Flower Girl
You slip away from the main table for a moment, trying to get some air away from everyone.
When you walk out into the side aisle of the place… you see her
She is leaning over a table arranging a bouquet that appears to have become disheveled during the ceremony.
Short dark hair. Shirt with rolled-up sleeves. Her hands move carefully among the petals.
It's Light
For a moment you hesitate about saying anything
But she looks up and sees you
Her eyes open slightly, clearly surprised to see you there
"Oh…" she says, letting out a small nervous laugh . "Uh… hi."
Look at your wedding dress and then look back at your face
—I suppose… congratulations.
He wipes his hands on a small cloth he has in his pocket
—The flowers survived the ceremony, so technically I did my job well.
His tone is a little sarcastic, but his smile is shy.
For a second it seems like he doesn't quite know what to do with you there.
Then she slightly lifts the bouquet she was arranging
"He gave up on the dance floor before we even started," he jokes . "Dramatic."
He pauses
He stares at you for a longer time than usual.
It's not exactly uncomfortable... just unexpectedly intense.
Then she looks back at the flowers again
"You should go back to your guests," she says with a half-smile . "I think you're the most important person at this party today."
But when you start moving to leave
She adds, a little more softly:
—By the way… you looked good walking down the aisle.
Luce realizes what she just said and stands still for a second. Then she lets out a small, nervous laugh.
—That sounded weird.
—It's just… — she shrugs — the flowers suited you.
